San Marco Evening Walk

Picturesque San Marco is one of Jacksonville’s most famous neighborhoods. Its unique buildings – some of which were built in the Mediterranean Revival style – capture both the eye and the imagination. Combined with sweeping views of the St. John’s River and convenient access to both downtown and points north and south, San Marco can’t be missed.

San Marco Evening Walk Route

Head northeast from Aardwolf Brewery. Follow the Southbank River Walk from the Duval County Schools building to the Friendship Fountain. Then head south, joining San Marco Blvd.

Turn right on Nira St, then left on Palm Ave. Quick left to La Salle St, then to River Road stopping at Riverfront Park.

Head East on Landon, then left onto Hendricks to return to Aardwolf. Alternatively, follow River Road to Arbor Lane before joining Hendricks (+10 minutes).

Jacksonville Beach Party

Jacksonville Beach Party 1

Join us for our summer beach parties off Jacksonville Beach’s 7th Avenue North entrance, north of Margaritaville beyond the volleyball nets. Look for a green tent with cornhole set up in front.

Our parties occur either monthly or bimonthly, depending on the time of year. Come meet group members in a low-key setting, while you enjoy beach games, the ocean, snacks, water, and a small event tent!

UNF Loftin Trails Hike

UNF Loftin Trail Walk

The Robert Loftin Nature trails are among the most pleasant and natural settings in metropolitan Jacksonville. They’re flat, accessible, and have boardwalks constructed over wet areas.

Ideal for hiking and running, the Loftin trails offer a respite from Jacksonville’s busy roads, while conveniently located minutes away from I-295 and St. John’s Town Center.

Ravine Gardens Hike

Ravine Gardens Palatka

Ravine Gardens is one of Florida’s most serene and picturesque state parks, particularly when its 18 species of azaleas are in bloom. It’s one of nine New Deal era Florida State parks – with some of the landscaping and design as old as 1933 – when the Works Progress Administration transformed the glacial-forged ravines into an impressive garden.

Visitors can walk on or off a 1.8 mile paved road, in addition to miles of packed dirt paths winding up and down rolling terrain.

Avondale Evening Walk Route

Follow St. Johns Avenue southwest to Herschel Street. Cross Big Fishwier Creek, making a quick left on to Woodmere Drive.

Follow Woodmere Drive south along the shoreline to San Juan Avenue. Then head east on San Juan about 300 meters to Stinson Park, stopping briefly for a rest or photo opportunity.
